Old Fashioned Baked Custard


A true old-fashioned recipe from Grandma!


1+1/2 cups milk

3 eggs

1/4 cup sugar

pinch salt

1/2 teaspoon vanilla

nutmeg


Warm milk slightly in a saucepan.

In a separate bowl, beat eggs, sugar, vanilla.

Add warm milk.

Grease a pie-dish.

Add the mixture.

Dot the top with a little butter and sprinkle with nutmeg.

Banke in a slow over (150 degrees Celcius) for 1 hour, or until set.
